Wireless alarm

One of the reasons that many people look to getting a wireless alarm is simply because they are so convenient. As a matter of fact, almost all alarms now installed by security companies are wireless alarms.

Here is what is included in most of these systems:

• Motion detectors – The motion detectors are what are used to keep costs down. Because having a door or window sensor installed on every door or window in your house could be very expensive, you can instead get motion detectors installed in large areas. For example, if your living room has a door and four windows, all you need to do is install a motion detector and it will pick up each of these.

• Door and window sensors – These battery-operated sensors come in two pieces. One piece is placed on the door and the other piece is placed on the door frame. When the two pieces separate, this is what triggers the alarm to go off. This can also be used in businesses as a chime, since they can be set to ring once as people walk in or out of a business.

• Main frame – In a wireless alarm system, the only part of the whole system that is wired is the main frame. This is a small box-like piece that includes a screen and a keypad. Most often you can find it somewhere near the door you use to come in and out of your home.

A wireless alarm is really the least pervasive kind of alarm that you can have installed in your home. There is not a lot of work that needs to be done to install it. In fact, even the most complicated wireless alarm systems can be completely installed in a matter of two to three hours.
